Cesc Fabregas has broken his leg in the crucial Champions League Match against Barcelona at the Emirates, End of March 2010.

This former Barcelona boy, has been linked with a bid of the coming Barcelona President. If he chooses to join Barcelona then the game was the last for Arsenal.

Although Barca manager Pep Guardiola is more focused on recruiting a replacement for Thierry Henry, with Franck Ribery and David Silva the targets, the coup of securing Fabregas at the start of Rosell’s presidency will drive the bid.
Fabregas is under contract to Arsenal until 2014, having signed an eight-year deal in 2006, but has resisted renewing it even though manager Arsene Wenger has been keen for talks. The player has always insisted he will remain loyal to Arsenal, while admitting that one day he is likely to return to Spain.
Fabregas is advised by Darren Dein, son of former Arsenal vice-chairman David, who maintains good relations with Barcelona and negotiated Thierry Henry’s move to the club from Emirates Stadium in 2007.
Fabregas signed his most recent contract in October 2006 and will be free to buy out the remaining years of his contract, which would amount to around £16m in the transfer window of January 2011.
Rosell is involved in a bitter battle for the Nou Camp presidency and has vowed to sue current president Joan Laporta after he accused Rosell of corruption.
